Following the tremendous success of Taku, Chef Takuya commissioned us to design his new site, INÉ. Located on Hampstead High Street, this modern Japanese restaurant blends traditional design elements with contemporary aesthetics. Our focus for this site was on creating an environment that fosters curiosity and invites exploration as soon as the customer walks through the door. The metal screen at the entrance creates a sense of intrigue, and draws visitors in.
The main Omakase dining area takes inspiration from the Japanese rice box (Masu). Bespoke pendant lights were designed to mimic rice grains, a subtle yet striking feature for the space. Considered and creative choices such as these enhance the warm and intimate atmosphere and complement the refined dining that INÉ offers.
Upstairs we created a private dining room and dedicated sake and dessert bar. Its curation of artworks blends cultural elements with modern elegance. Our intention was to provide space for private and exclusive dining, as well as a bar setting, where customers can enjoy the atmosphere alongside meticulously crafted beverages and sweets.
Every detail of INÉ's design has been carefully considered to create a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity. Diners experience not only exceptional food, but also a precisely curated blend of modern and traditional.
