Love Sum Dumplings, Reading (In Construction)

This client, an investor-backed entrepreneur featured on Dragon’s Den and previously a runner-up on MasterChef, approached us to help bring their business vision to life. The brief called for a multi-functional 20,000-square-foot facility combining state-of-the-art food production with contemporary office space.

The fitout was delivered in collaboration with a design and build contractor, with our team overseeing construction to ensure rigorous quality control throughout. Designs were continuously reviewed and refined to meet stringent operational and compliance standards.

We managed the building’s environmental assessment process, ensuring the project achieved its BREEAM certification targets and fulfilled its sustainability objectives. In parallel, construction was closely monitored to align with Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS), a critical benchmark in food safety and hygiene. Both certifications are internationally recognised and fundamental to supporting the client’s long-term operational performance and environmental responsibility.

The warehouse was designed for optimal efficiency, with specialised zones for production, packaging and storage supported by high-grade, custom ventilation and hygiene systems that meet stringent food production industry standards. This project showcases our expertise in industrial interior design and food production facility design.

The office fitout focuses on creating a comfortable, collaborative environment for the administrative team. It features open-plan workspaces, meeting rooms and break areas. Energy-efficient systems, sustainable materials and streamlined workflows, reflecting our approach to sustainable office fitouts and functional workspace design.

In addition, we designed a New Development Kitchen to allow the business to diversify into cookery lessons, demonstrations, or client-facing events. Conceived as a highly adaptable space, it balances technical performance with a refined, professional aesthetic.

Across the entire facility, layouts were strategically planned to optimise work-flow, productivity, and integration between production, office, and client-facing environments. The completed fitout delivers a high-performance, future-ready facility that supports efficient food production, fosters a productive workplace, and enables long-term business growth.
