Loco Lime, Wandsworth

As Loco Lime’s first London location, the project introducesthe brand’s signature birria tacos and vibrant Mexican street food offering tothe heart of Wandsworth. Located within the vibrant New Acres development, therestaurant establishes a bold new presence for the growing brand in thecapital.  

The project presented two main challenges: maximising valuewithin a constrained budget and creating an efficient, high-performingoperation within a compact footprint.  

The compact ‘open kitchen’ area required a highly consideredoperational layout, with every element of the kitchen meticulously planned tomaximise efficiency. Bespoke joinery throughout the scheme enabled the seamlessintegration of equipment, storage and customer-facing elements, ensuring thatevery square metre was utilised effectively.  

A robust and cost-effective material palette was selected to evoke an authentic street food aesthetic. Inspired by the colours, textures and informality of Mexican street food culture, the result is a distinctive and functional space that successfully establishes Loco Lime’s London debut.
