Yazu Sushi, Mayfair

This project reimagined an existing 270 sqft space in the lively Shepherd Market, London, giving Yazu Sushi, a beloved kaiten-style establishment, a thoughtful and refined renovation. Just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, Yazu has long been a favourite among locals. Our design brings a new sense of elegance and clarity to the compact space, enhancing the guest experience while preserving the charm that regulars know and love.

Working within a very small footprint and an accelerated construction timeline, the renovation focused on strategic upgrades that maximise impact. While the signature kaiten conveyor belt remains from the original fit-out, the surrounding design has been elevated with a new custom tabletop and carefully selected material palette, highlighting the belt as a central feature while creating a more cohesive and modern environment.

The client's goal was to refresh the space without losing the intimate, familiar atmosphere that defines Yazu. This renovation delivers on that promise—offering a cleaner, more polished version of the restaurant locals already cherish.
